West Coast Surf School strives to offer the most comprehensive array of services to surfers in Ericeira. From beginner surf lessons all the way to surf guiding trips and surf academy, our coaches and staff aim to create an unforgettable experience in this slice of beach heaven on the coast of Portugal.

 

Surfing is not just a sport, it is a lifestyle. It is a connection with the ocean and a homage to Mother Nature. We teach the physical skills you need to progress in surfing but we also offer your our knowledge and vision on how to connect with the environment, be kind to people and experience true, effortless bliss in the ocean.

Ericeira World Surfing Reserve:

 

Ericeira is the first and only World Surfing Reserve site in Europe. It was dedicated on October 14, 2011 and is recognized for its high density of surf breaks, consistent wave quality, and unique topography and nature. Ericeira WSR stretches 4 km and consists of seven separate surf spots (reefs, points, beaches), including popular breaks such as Ribeira d’Ilhas and Coxos. You can find more information about Ericeira World Surfing Reserve at the interactive center, which is 5min walk from West Coast Surf School. Go visit before your surf lesson, it's fantastic!
